  • We Should Weep & Mourn? James 4:7-9

    Let’s submit to God.

We are sinners in need of cleansed hands & our hearts are filthy.
Isaiah 46 tells us our heart is like old feminine napkins that are used and bloody…
Our wavering thoughts and fluctuating emotions make us all double-minded,  with fleeting desires that only bring momentary satisfaction.
We are told in James Chapter 4 to be wretched, which means we should be very unhappy.
We’re also told to mourn & weep.
This is evident when we’re in the Light of Truth:  we can See that we are nothing, and we’ve been fighting for rotting fruits.
So our laughter really should be turned to mourning, which is a deep, from the soul, grieving that cuts to your core, an experience most often induced when you lose someone dear to you.
Our joy really should turn to gloom; meaning that the joy we have in our trivial foolery is putrid in the Eyes of Eternity, as Scripture staye, we’d be better off in a somber depression, wrapped in the darkness of despondency.
He will raise us up ONLY when we take our lowly place, esteeming ourselves as nothing before Him.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10, the apostle Paul talks about how he had asked God to remove a “thorn in his flesh,” but God responded by saying, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul then goes on to say, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
So our weakness and vulnerability actually make us more receptive to God’s power and grace.
Our self-centered and egotistical joy is an abomination to Him, for the Spirit sees the true essence of our actions and judges them based on their substance, longevity, and ultimate end.
Let us awaken from our delusion and realize the joy rooted in creation is as good as dead because rather than having joy in the one who created us, we chase our own tails, believing we’re on the right path.
  • Do You Feel Pressure To “ACT” Happy?

Do You Feel Pressure To “ACT” Happy?

We can rejoice in our trials, for they make us more like Christ. He suffered for us, and we can honor Him by enduring with faith and gratitude. He gives us the gift of believing in Him and His plan for us. As we trust in His sovereign will, we find healing and restoration for our souls. He only heals those who need healing, He only saves those who need saving.

Do you ever feel pressured to smile when you are sad? Do people tell you to ignore your pain when something bad happens to you? Are those who claim to be Holy the very ones who hurt you with their fake sympathy?

Feel no obligation to adhere to anyone that adopts society’s narrow interpretation of “joy,” for it tends to be based on superficial determinations. Judging another in a negative light for the amount of “joy” they exude outwardly is a shallow viewpoint, lacking any essence that lies beyond its ephemeral impressions that only feeds the ego of the one judging.

It is okay to feel sad or downcast, and it is important to take the time to process those feelings. Do not care too much about what other people think or project on to you, especially if they base their conclusions on outward appearances.

Do not allow yourself to be influenced by the perspectives of anyone who advocates for you to display a false sense of happiness. Such guidance, in essence, fosters an attitude of superiority and must not be accepted.

It is important to honor God, Who is Truth, by being honest about your feelings and emotions, even if they are not positive or cheerful. God values truth above all else and knows your heart and mind better than anyone. Do not let others make you feel guilty or ashamed for being faithful to the Lord, even if they try to persuade you otherwise and even if you feel alone in your voyage.

    Authenticity Triggers Many People’s Insecurities

Sometimes people may dislike you because you are authentic to yourself: this quality can trigger their insecurities and fears of not being good enough.

Many people walk around with an inferiority complex while projecting a false sense of superiority.

They may feel threatened by the nakedness of your vulnerability, so they venture to bring you down or they avoid you altogether. They are unable to allow themselves to SEE the realness of your pain, as their only focus is avoiding their own.

Instead of acknowledging their issues, they attempt to project them onto you, casting curses your way and oftentimes will find a method of rationalization inn order to blame you for “causing them to feel uncomfortable” because your candor of pain is a reflection of the very thing within themselves that they deflect away at all costs. You may serve as a mirror, a mirror that many despise.

The Scriptures call us to empathy.

This is the mark of a Christian.: “… If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it…”

As Christ said: You will KNOW them by their Fruits. What are fruits?

Character: Do they love? Do they have empathy for those who suffer? Do they seek for good?

Just as a fruit tree produces fruit that reveals its nature (qualities & substance), our actions and behaviors reveal who we truly are and affect those around us, whether or not we are able to recognize it.

Love is taking another being as apart of yourself. When you hurt; you hurt, right? So, if you love someone; when they hurt, you hurt as if it is you that was hurting, because it is, now that you love them.

“…Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He WILL exalt you…”

    James 4:7‭-‬10

To truly heal and grow from our wounds and challenges, we need to have the courage to expose our vulnerability, weakness, awareness, and honesty about our struggles and pain. We need to seek guidance and wisdom from Him instead of blindly following the expectations of those around us.

I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us.
    ~ 2 Corinthians 7:9

For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
    ~ Philippians 1:29

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
    Philippians 3:10-11

“… as for you, my dear brothers and sisters, when I say that we must be willing to embrace suffering and endure trials in order to produce true joy in our lives.
    ~ James 1:2-4

For everything in the world: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world.
    ~ 1 John 2:16

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
    ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
    ~ 1 Peter 5:6

We boast in the hope of the glory of God. We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
    ~Romans 5:1-4

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
    — James 4:8-10

  • WHO AM ‘I’ describing?

    WHO AM ‘I’ describing?

    Allow me to explain:

I expect to find rich soil to sow my work within you.

To do that, you need to act humbly towards others.
I am going to analyze everything and everyone in order to get you what you desire from them.
I am going to manipulate people with the image of a soft heart inside of you so that they’ll give you praises and make you feel important, as you should.

My ultimate goal is to absorb the compassion of the empathetic and influence the simple to honor and highly value you without realizing it.

I aim to elevate you to the position of God’s throne, but you can’t ever admit it: to admit it is to kill our power; we love the darkness; only artificial light is allowed here.

The perception of those who are ‘lower than you‘ must keep you elevated to the status of God: looking to you to fill their need, whatever need that may be; and you will deliver.

I simply want to put you on the pedestal you deserve. You are deserving of the throne, and I will tirelessly defend your glory.
I am here to ‘protect’ you.

It is paramount that your works have a purpose, and your purpose is for you to feel good and secure in who you are.
    Nothing else matters.

So, your good deeds must be always visible; otherwise, they won’t elevate you as you deserve, and I am the one who will help make sure your works are seen.
Remember, you are sovereign too. God isn’t the only one.

As for me, well, I am simply the seed inside you. You: the one reading this: I’m a reflection of your nature; I’m your heart.

    I AM YOUR HUMAN NATURE:
    AND MY WORK IS PRIDE

    Mystery Revealed

    Mystery is defined as

If a Mystery has been revealed to you, you no longer refer to it as a “mystery”:

If you do refer the the mystery as a a Mystery in your own mind; then it’s my opinion that you’re either talking out the side of your mouth or you are not actually in the Revelation of the Mystery.

THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD ARE REVEALED TO US BY HIS SPIRIT

    As it is written,
No eye has Seen, nor Ear Heard,
not has entered into the heart of man:
the things which God has prepared
    for those who Love Him.
… But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

    1 Corinthians 2:9-10

The secret (טוֹב)of the LORD is
    with those who fear Him,
& He will show them His covenant.
    Psalms 25:14

God’s Council is the Secret for those who fear Him, with awe & amazement.

    The Mystery is Knowable

YHWH said, “Listen now to My Words. If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself Known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream.
    Numbers 12:6

    But… wait:

Not so, with My servant Moses,
    He is faithful in all My household;
With him I speak mouth to mouth (directly),
Openly, and not in dark sayings (not shrouded in mystery as was prior to Chriat tearing the veil),
And he beholds the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
To speak against My servant, against Moses?”

So the anger of the Lord burned against them and He departed.

  • New Covenant: Richer Than Dreams: No Longer a mystery

New Covenant: Richer Than Dreams: No Longer a mystery

The New Covenant surpasses our wildest dreams and visions we once had, revealing mysteries that were once unknown to us but are now made clear to those who are able to See and Hear. It is an incredible revelation that goes beyond what we could have ever imagined. This Covenant is filled with revolutionary power and boundless grace, offering an abundance of blessings. In this time, the veil of mystery has been lifted, and the New Covenant stands as an invocation for all of us who are called to embrace its truths with Praises and joy.

The New Covenant was a mystery but is now a revealed truth. The mystery that was once hidden is now open to those who are drawn to integrate into a deeper communion with God.

    Mystery Revealed

The term “mystery” generally refers to something that is unknown or not understood. Once a mystery is revealed and understood, it no longer fits the definition of a mystery. Therefore, it would be inappropriate to continue referring to it as a mystery if one is truly in possession of the revelation.

    Psalms 25:14

    Unveiling God’s Council

The concept of God’s Council serves as the profound unveiling of a hidden truth, a revelation intended for individuals who approach Him with reverence and awe. It is crucial to recognize that a secret, by its very nature, is synonymous with a mystery, shrouded in obscurity and concealed from the eyes of the world. However, when such a secret is disclosed or made known, its essence as a covert truth is effectively relinquished, rendering it devoid of its enigmatic quality and no longer considered a mystery. The revelation of God’s Council not only enlightens those who fear Him but also signifies the unveiling of hidden wisdom that was previously unknown.

    The Mystery is Knowable

YHWH said, “Listen now to My Words. If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself Known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream.

    — Numbers 12:7-9
Are we not much more than Moses?

According to Hebrews 3:3, "For this one [Jesus] hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house."

We are, indeed, much more than Moses.

  • The New Covenant: Richer Than Dreams & Visions

The New Covenant: Richer Than Dreams & Visions

    Mystery Revealed

The concept of mystery and revelation is a paradoxical one.

On one hand, a mystery is something that is unknown and beyond human comprehension.

On the other hand, revelation is the act of making something known or revealing it to someone.

If a mystery has been revealed to a person, it is no longer a mystery to them.

However, if one claims to have been revealed a mystery yet still finds it mysterious, they do not comprehend revelation.

They fail to comprehend the vision of spiritual disclosure.

A mystery is something that is not understood by the sole processes of the mind, so it is cloaked in mystery, in disguise. The contrast of that is a Revelation, which is total mind illumination.

When an individual is illuminated, they are no longer cloaked, and the mystery can no longer be mysterious to them.

This paradoxical disposition of mystery and revelation highlights the significance of the role of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who reveals the deep things of God to us and illuminates our minds.

Without the Holy Spirit, we would be unable to apprehend the existence of mysteries, let alone given the ability by God to discern the mystery; transmuting the mystery into a completely difdsfrmt form; revelation, disclosure, and exposed .

The paradox of mystery and revelation in spiritual discourse highlights the importance of the function of the Holy Spirit in illuminating our minds and revealing the dichotomy: revealing the profoundities of God: to us.

If a mystery has been revealed to us, it is no longer a mystery, and we must seek the guidance and illumination of the Holy Spirit to understand the mysteries of God.

THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD ARE REVEALED TO US BY HIS SPIRIT

The things that God has prepared for those who love Him is incomprehensible.
However, God has chosen to reveal these things to us through His Spirit.
The Holy Spirit has the ability to search all things, including the deep things of God.
Through the Spirit’s guidance, we can gain a deeper understanding of the mysteries of God and the blessings He has prepared for us.

    As it is written,
No eye has Seen, nor Ear Heard,
not has entered into the heart of man:
the things which God has prepared
    for those who Love Him.
… But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

    1 Corinthians 2:9-10

    – This verse emphasizes the importance of relying on the Holy Spirit for spiritual discernment and insight.

The secret (טוֹב)of the LORD is
    with those who fear Him,
& He will show them His covenant.

    Psalms 25:14

This transmits David’s conviction that the “secret” or the “advice” of the Lord is available to those who fear him.

The word “fear” in this context does not mean being afraid of God as we would fear a malevolent enemy, rather its having a deep reverence and respect for Him.

With deep respect for God, we can reach His wisdom and guidance. Cultivating a profound relationship with God based on faith, reverence and trust is the fork of the road, whereby the ability to apply the knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, acumen and guidance of The Holy Spirit. A guideline is internally outlined for us, in us, by Him.

The Counsel of God is the secret for those who fear Him, with fear and amazement.

  • Striking the Balance: Wisdom of the Serpent, Innocence of the Dove

In the realm of symbolism, the serpent and the dove hold contrasting meanings.

the serpent and the dove hold contrasting meanings

The serpent embodies wisdom, craftiness, and planning, while the dove represents innocence, purity, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Striving to embody both the wisdom of the serpent and the innocence of the dove requires a delicate balance, enabling us to navigate life’s challenges with a clear conscience and a wise intellect.

    Wisdom of the Serpent

The serpent, despite its negative connotations in certain contexts, possesses qualities worthy of admiration. Its wisdom lies in its ability to think ahead, plan, and strategize. By observing the serpent, we can learn to apply foresight to our decisions and actions. We can anticipate potential traps and dangers, avoiding harm to ourselves and others. However, it is crucial to remember that the serpent’s wisdom should not be conflated with moral character, as its intentions are often driven by self-interest and deceit.

    Innocence of the Dove

The dove, on the other hand, is a symbol of innocence and purity. Its representation as a vessel for the Holy Spirit reinforces its connection to divinity and spiritual enlightenment. As we strive to embody the innocence of the dove, we cultivate a pure heart, free from malice and ill intentions. This innocence allows us to approach situations with compassion, kindness, and a desire for peace. By embodying the qualities of the dove, we can create an environment conducive to spiritual growth and positive change.

    Innocence of the heavenly Dove
    Finding Balance

The key lies in finding equilibrium between these two seemingly opposing qualities. Striving to be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove involves integrating the wisdom gained from observing the serpent with the purity and compassion inherent in the dove’s nature. This balance empowers us to navigate life’s complexities without losing sight of our moral compass.

By embracing the wisdom of the serpent, we can make informed decisions, plan for the future, and anticipate potential obstacles. However, this wisdom must always be tempered by the innocence of the dove, ensuring that our actions are guided by empathy, integrity, and a genuine concern for others’ well-being.

    Conclusion

To be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove is a profound aspiration. It calls for the harmonious integration of intellect and morality, strategy and compassion. By embodying these qualities, we can navigate life’s challenges with clarity, make positive contributions to the world, and foster an environment of peace and understanding.

    wise as a serpent

Let us strive to strike this delicate balance, drawing wisdom from the serpent’s foresight while embodying the innocence and purity of the dove. In doing so, we can cultivate a transformative influence, making the world a better place one step at a time.

Understanding the Relationship Between Jesus, the Spirit, and God’s Instruction

The Revelation of God’s Divine Essence through His Law

The law of God, which finds embodiment in Jesus, serves as a revelation of His divine essence. It unveils the depth of God’s love for humanity and offers a means of atonement for our sins. Through Jesus’ sacrificial act, we witness the profound display of God’s mercy and His desire for reconciliation.

Embracing Love and Acquiring Knowledge through the Spirit

By embracing the Holy Spirit, we gain knowledge of God and develop a deeper understanding of His true nature. Love, in its comprehensive form, encompasses understanding, active listening, and empathetic engagement with others. God’s Law, as a guiding principle, leads us toward truth, steers us onto the right path, and ultimately allows us to experience a fulfilling life.

Jesus’ Fulfillment of the Law and the Connection with the Spirit

Jesus, as the embodiment of the Law, establishes a profound connection between the Law and the Spirit. In this unity, contradictions dissolve, bringing coherence and harmony to our spiritual journey. Love, at its core, involves pure intentions and unswerving honesty. When we extend love even to our enemies, we strive to comprehend them and offer compassion.

The Holy Spirit transcends the limitations of our physical existence. It empowers us to perceive and experience God’s presence beyond the confines of our earthly senses. Through the Spirit, our understanding is enlightened by the Word, igniting transformation within our hearts and minds.

Church Interpretations and the Importance of Personal Spiritual Connection

Christian churches, though vital for community and shared faith, sometimes deviate from the core teachings of Jesus. While pastors provide interpretations, it is crucial to internalize the Bible’s teachings personally. Unfortunately, certain churches prioritize intellectual debates or misuse scripture to avoid deep self-reflection, thereby hindering personal and spiritual connections.

Guiding Others to the True God through Love

Leaders within the church often misguide their followers, limiting their understanding of God. It is with love and humility that we should aim to guide others toward the one True God, seeking unity through the atonement of Messiah Jesus. By embracing His Spirit and salvation, we can break free from deception and the ephemeral nature of earthly pursuits, gaining an eternal perspective.

The Paradox of Christian Practices and Hypocrisy

There exists a paradox among some Christians who oppose the Torah and established traditions while fervently embracing and defending pagan laws, holidays, and customs. Practices like decorating trees and exchanging presents during Christmas, participating in Easter celebrations with fertility symbolism, observing man-made New Year, and engaging in Halloween rituals are frequently diligently observed.

Critiquing Legalistic Tendencies and Embracing God’s Names

Some Christians criticize a legalistic approach to recognizing God’s entirety, yet they exhibit legalistic tendencies by prioritizing Sunday church attendance over understanding the comforting words of God through the Savior. This juxtaposition appears hypocritical when man-made practices influenced by darkness are embraced, while the names Jesus’ mother and disciples called Him are deemed “legalistic.”

  • Embracing Exaltation: The Triumph of the Lowly

Embracing Exaltation: The Triumph of the Lowly

Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.

    James 1:9-10

In a world often fixated on wealth and social status, the words of James 1:9-10 remind us of a different perspective. The passage challenges our notions of success and significance, urging us to find joy and contentment in our lowly circumstances. This unexpected exaltation offers a profound shift in understanding and a renewed sense of purpose.

    The Power of God’s Exaltation

James encourages those in lowly circumstances to rejoice, for they are exalted. This exaltation is not of worldly origin but stems from the divine intervention of God. It is a reminder that God sees beyond society’s standards and values. He lifts the humble and disregarded, choosing them as His own children and heirs of His kingdom. This exaltation extends beyond the temporal and superficial, granting an eternal inheritance that surpasses worldly wealth.

    Recognizing Intrinsic Worth

The passage challenges our perception of worth and potential. It emphasizes that our value does not hinge on external factors such as wealth or societal standing. Instead, it rests in our relationship with God and our faith in Him. This recognition empowers us to embrace our lowly circumstances with confidence, knowing that we are treasured and loved by our Heavenly Father.

    Guarding Against Judgment

Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.

Proverbs 17:5 cautions against deriding the impoverished and deriving satisfaction from their misfortune. Such dispositions demonstrate a deficiency in comprehension and empathy, contradicting the principles of God’s realm. Finding delight in others’ suffering stands in opposition to the essence of Christ. Rather, we are summoned to exhibit compassion and solidarity towards the vulnerable, acknowledging their intrinsic value as fellow reflections of God’s image.

    The Equality in Christ

has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?

James 2:5 highlights God’s deliberate choice to bless the poor with faith and make them heirs of His kingdom. This passage emphasizes the leveling effect of Christ’s salvation, where societal distinctions hold no weight. In the body of Christ, there is no hierarchy based on wealth or status. All are equal and equally valued, united by their love for God. This unity transcends societal boundaries and fosters a community where the lowly are elevated and the rich are humbled.

    Finding Joy and Satisfaction

The exaltation of the lowly in Christ is a cause for great joy and satisfaction. It offers a fresh perspective on our circumstances, reminding us that true fulfillment comes from our identity in Christ rather than worldly achievements. In recognizing our high position in Him, we find contentment and purpose, regardless of our socioeconomic status.

The exaltation of the lowly is a profound concept that challenges societal norms and redefines success. It invites us to shift our focus from external measures of worth to our relationship with God. By embracing our lowly circumstances and finding joy in our exaltation, we align ourselves with God’s eternal perspective. Let us celebrate the triumph of the lowly and embrace the inherent worth and potential found in our identity as children of God.
