In the following passage, the apostle Paul describes the state of humanity and the consequences of their ungodliness and unrighteousness.
He asserts that the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all who suppress the truth and encourage others to indulge in sinful behavior.
According to Paul, God has made Himself known to humanity through the visible creation, allowing them to perceive His eternal power and divine nature.
Therefore, people are without excuse for their rejection of God.
Instead of honoring and giving thanks to Him, they become futile in their thinking and their hearts are darkened.
Claiming to be wise, they become fools, worshiping and serving created things rather than the Creator.
As a result of their idolatry and rejection of God, God gives them over to the fruit of their sinful, empty desires.
So they engage in impurity, dishonor their Spiritual bodies, and exchange the truth about God for a lie.
Paul specifically mentions the distortion of natural relations, with women and men engaging in same-sex unions that are contrary to obvious nature.
He highlights that they received the due penalty for their error.
Furthermore, since they refuse to acknowledge God, He gives them over to a debased mind, leading them to engage in all sorts of unrighteousness, including envy, murder, deceit, gossip, and disobedience.
They not only practice these things but also give approval to others who do the same.
They have a seared conscious.
This passage vividly depicts the profound deterioration caused by humanity’s rejection of God.
Even though individuals possess an inherent understanding of God’s existence, they choose to stifle this truth and immerse themselves in godlessness and moral deficiency.
Consequently, God permits them to indulge in their sinful inclinations, ultimately allowing them to bear the dire consequences of their choices.

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Controlling individuals who project a gentle facade often believe that manipulating others leads to happiness. However, this flawed belief is rooted in deception and arrogance, ultimately leading to negative consequences.
Within Christianity, there exist individuals who arrogantly assume the guise of piety while perpetuating oppressive actions.
These humble tyrants exploit others, all the while claiming to follow God’s will.
It is important to note, however, that the Bible explicitly warns against such tyrannical behavior, as it restricts freedom and deviates from the path set by God.
As Christians, we are called to embody God’s grace and mercy through genuine actions, rather than mere expressions.
The teachings of Jesus hold profound truths that can only be fully understood when our hearts are truly captivated by them.#
Tyrants, driven by fear and insecurity, seek to destroy the reputation of the vulnerable by magnifying their faults through lies. They often masquerade their malicious intentions as concern, but their true nature is revealed through their deceitful and backbiting actions.
Recognizing a Christian tyrant involves identifying someone who rules without accountability, imposing their will upon others without regard for their well-being, and exploiting religion to cloak their oppressive actions.

Jesus told his followers that the physical world is transient but the spiritual realities He taught about are Eternal.
ALLEGORICAL COMPREHENSION REVEALS PROFUNDITY
Throughout scripture, physical phenomena are regularly used as allegories for profound spiritual truths.
The prophets and apostles understood this well, as their writings are rich with metaphor and symbolism.
Even acts as serious as adultery have deeper layers of significance, as both the prophets and Christ himself indicated.
When God called Israel his wife through the prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah, he was illuminating profound mystical realities about humankind’s relationship with the divine. As James wrote, friendship with “the world” makes us enemies of God – and the “world” here refers not just to physical places and people, but the desires and allurements that captivate our hearts and minds.
By understanding the earthly realities Jesus and the prophets spoke of as representatives of higher spiritual realities, we penetrate beneath surface meanings. We see how God was trying to warn Israel, and all humanity, about straying from intimate connection with our divine Source. Physical adultery reflects humanity’s natural tendency to replace love for God with love of lesser, temporary things that cannot satisfy our souls.
Christ came to lift our eyes above earthly distractions, to the eternal spiritual verities of which our physical, temporary experiences are but pale foreshadowings. When we discern the fullness of meaning behind biblical passages, we find profound wisdom for nurturing an enduring marriage of spirit with God. May this deeper perspective guide us to cherish what truly endures, now revealed without a veil.

Our identity as children of God carries with it the promise of future glory and eternal inheritance. However, this journey may involve suffering and hardship. Yet, the sufferings of this present time pale in comparison to the glory that awaits us.
Creation’s Longing and Hope
Paul expands the scope of redemption to include the entire creation. He explains that creation was subjected to futility and corruption but awaits liberation from its bondage. The creation groans and suffers in anticipation of the revealing of the sons of God. Likewise, we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, eagerly await our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. In our hope, we persevere and eagerly await the unseen promises of God.

A Source of Understanding
The idea that faith is opposed to understanding or reason is a fallacy. Faith is not blind acceptance or irrationality; rather, it is a deeply rooted confidence and trust in something beyond our immediate comprehension. By embracing faith, believers open themselves to a higher realm of understanding, where divine revelation can shed light on the deepest questions of existence.
God’s Revelation and Creation
According to biblical accounts, God’s revelation offers believers a profound understanding of how the universe came into being. In the book of Genesis, we read that God spoke, and creation began. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Through His divine word, God brought order out of chaos, initiating the magnificent tapestry of the universe.
The Power of God’s Word
The power and authority of God’s word are further echoed throughout the Scriptures. In Psalm 33:6, we are reminded, “By the word of the Lord, the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.” This verse emphasizes that God’s spoken word has the creative power to bring the universe into existence. Similarly, Isaiah 40:26 declares, “Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing.” These passages highlight the majesty and wisdom inherent in God’s act of creation.

THE POTTER & HIS CLAY
The metaphor of God as a potter and human beings as clay is a powerful image that speaks to the idea of divine providence. It suggests that God has a plan or purpose for each of our lives and that He is in complete control of how He shapes and constructs us. However, it also acknowledges the possibility of human agency, suggesting that we might be co-creators with God in some sense.
RECOGNIZING OUR OWN SIN
The recognition of human sinfulness and the need for a savior is a central belief in Christian theology. It acknowledges that we are all guilty of our sinful actions and that we fall short of the perfection of a Holy God. This is why a savior is necessary, and why Jesus Christ is seen as the one who offers redemption and salvation to believers.
PATTERNED ACCORDING TO HIS OWN THOUGHTS
The idea that God patterns us according to His own thoughts suggests a belief in divine sovereignty. It suggests that God is in control of all things and that there is a comprehensive and all-encompassing divine plan. This is reinforced by the assertion that there is nothing outside the Mind of God, which suggests that all of reality is ultimately shaped by God’s will.
The distinction between material reality and spiritual reality is an important one in Christian theology.
FULLY DEPENDENT
As vessels, we are entirely dependent on our Operator. We have no exceptional qualities that make us stand out from others. Our worth is neither greater nor lesser than anyone else’s. All praise and glory belong to God, and if our understanding deprives Him of even a speck of glory, it is a false doctrine designed to deprive Him of His glory.
ALL THINGS FOR HIS GLORY
God’s glory is through all things. When we think of the destiny of the damned, we give God glory, praising and honoring the strong power of His steady wrath that’s enforced with precise justice on vessels of wrath. The penalty of God’s wrath is what we all deserve because of the gravity and burden of sin’s depravity, which makes man’s heart corrupt.
He demonstrates His majestic grace’s ability in revealing God’s glory. It’s grace because it’s unearned, not a reward, and a pardon. If you earned any portion of your salvation and grace, it isn’t grace that saved you, and you’re not saved at all.
He lavishes His grace and mercy upon whomever He ordains. He is an impartial judge and not a respecter of persons. In all things, He is the essence and foundation, commanding His declaration to be respected by speaking that which is nothing into existence and making it something by His Word. His will is perfect, and a perfect will can’t be incomplete or unfinished, which means He fulfills His will, and His will was written before your first or last decision.
PERFECTION
To be perfect is to be exact, complete, accurate, and valid; a completed “will” lacks nothing, it is perfection. A perfect will achieves and fulfills itself without any missing aspects. His Spirit provides us with the capacity to discern His will. He is our illumination in the fog. The Spirit illuminates what materiality darkens.
VEIL LIFTED
He determines to lift the veil from the eyes of all that see in His Spirit. We are developed beyond the shadow, no longer limited to the diagram, but integrated with the substance. We are rescued from the death we deserve, saved from our flesh’s reward. We don’t deserve to be saved; we have no merit, not even a little bit. But thanks to God, we who see are completely free, only by the power of the Holy Spirit. Without Him, we’re just weeds, assuming we’re wheat, but we have no substance and die out like a flower.
“You don’t need to debate Theology, God doesn’t need us to defend Him.”
And to that, I say;
Amen! While it is true that God does not require anything from me, or anyone else, it is undeniable that we are in need of Him.
As a believer:
Defending My Faith and Beliefs
As a spirited follower of Christ, any untrue or defamatory statements about my Faith and Redemption (Who is Christ) cannot be tolerated.
The mere mention of disparaging comments about my Savior sparks a hunger within me, fueled by the divine presence of God. The Holy Spirit urges me to defend His name, as my devotion to Him is steadfast and unwavering. My belief in the gospel and the salvation it brings is absolute, and any attempts to tarnish it will be met with determined opposition. I stand firm in my Faith and remain committed to defending it against all forms of persecution.
Discovering that God chose me and continues to keep me despite my flaws was a moving experience. This revelation has sparked an unquenchable desire within me to learn more about Him and His ways, and to share this message with others.
UNQUENCHABLE THIRST FOR HIS WISDOM
As I reflect on the profound influence of God’s divine intervention in my life, I am overcome with a sense of intellectual stimulation. Despite my inherent weaknesses, I have reached a resolute understanding that God has chosen me and is the sole source of my preservation. This realization has ignited an unquenchable thirst within me to delve deeper into the limitless depths of His character and teachings.
SATISFIED IN HIS WORD, ALONE
Certainly, this newfound desire to gain spiritual knowledge and share it with others brings me immense joy and satisfaction.
SUPERNATURAL KNOWLEDGE
I was compelled by a supernatural force to intimately know the Almighty when He revealed to me His choice of me despite my unworthiness, and in His mercy and grace, He has supported me despite my inherent flaws.
CAN’T RESIST GOD
Despite the reluctance and resistance I had towards worshiping God exclusively as my Creator and Sustainer, He compelled me to surrender my entire soul to Him, even against my own will. Although some may find it hard to believe, God has the power to do this.
I WAS FULL OF PRIDE
I realize that I used to take pride in my ability to comprehend and retain “Gnosis” from various Ancient texts. However, I have come to acknowledge that these texts are the works of other gods, mere imitations from foreign sources, albeit much is true; the serpent tells the truth to trick us.
It took me a while to accept the truth, but after undergoing numerous trials by God’s spirit, I yearned for a deeper connection.
HE LEAD ME TO HIS WORD
He led me to study His Word more intently, to get to know Him profoundly. Through this process, I have experienced a transformation, moving from one level of glory to the next in truth. If you, too, are seeking a deeper understanding of God’s Word, I encourage you to embrace the journey and allow His spirit to guide you. With dedication and perseverance, you, too, can experience the transformative power of hermeneutics.
GOD’S LOVE IS AN ACTION
If you still don’t understand, you need to realize that the One Love of God is not an emotion but rather an action – God’s action.
So, no, He needs nothing from me. I’m the one who needs Him. I have to defend His name, and I’m relentlessly compelled to do so.
GOD WORKS GOOD THINGS IN US, NOT US
It is not me who works righteousness, but God alone. We are sheer vessels to be used by our Creator.
When I think about how unworthy I am, He still loves me unconditionally. This revelation has transformed my life and my philosophy on everything. I am constantly seeking to deepen my relationship with Him and learn more about His character and will for my life.

Yep, I was kicking and screaming against worshiping Him, alone.
I was only willing to remain in the prideful elation I received from my own ability to retain and understand “Gnosis” from other texts. What I now understand, after much denial, is that these texts are from “other gods” – foreign imitators. Once I truly recognized this and after enduring many trials by God’s spirit, I developed a real need for Him. So, in needing Him and studying His Word to get to know Him as deeply as possible, I am being moved from glory to glory in truth.
So, being marked by God with His Word etched in my mind and heart:
My mind cannot hear a lie about my salvation and remain unaffected because it stirs the One who owns me and dwells with me.
If my heart perceives slander against its Reviver, the Heart of God, His Spirit convicts me to become stirred to defend His Name against slander.
Why? Because I love Him… Only because He loves me. (1 John 4:19)

The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. Despite what many claim, I maintain Its teachings are clear and comprehensible. Rationality is a necessary tool to interpret Scripture correctly. Rationality aids in understanding the meaning and intent of the biblical authors.
God’s nature and character:
Because God is a rational being, humans, being created in God’s image, are also rational. This shared rationality allows for us humans to understand the nature and character of God, as well as the content of His revelation. Ration is a must in order to grasp theological concepts as well as spiritual. Without it, we couldn’t discern truth from falsehood, and we would never grow in our knowledge of God.
The orderly structure of the universe:
God created an orderly and structured universe, which can be studied and clearly understood through the standard of logic and reason.

How We Should Think Of Our Suffering Is Opposed To How We Feel
Our pain may result from God’s Decision for our ultimate benefit, even if we cannot perceive it in the present moment.
Despite Paul’s prayers for his ‘thorn’ to be removed, God did not take it away, but instead told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
God’s power is most evident in our moments of weakness.
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

The Lord Upholds Those Who Are Bowed Down

Job: Despite enduring immense suffering and loss, Job remained faithful and humble. The Lord upheld him through his trials, restoring and blessing him abundantly in the end.
Hannah: Hannah was a woman who longed for a child but faced the constant torment of infertility. In her distress, she poured out her heart to God and He heard her cry. The Lord blessed her with a son, Samuel, who played a significant role in Israel’s history.
Joseph: Joseph experienced betrayal and injustice at the hands of his brothers, being sold into slavery and enduring imprisonment. Through it all, God was with Joseph, upholding him even in the darkest moments. Eventually, Joseph rose to a position of power and was able to save his family and his people from famine.
Ruth: Ruth was a foreigner who faced numerous hardships, including the loss of her husband. Despite her difficult circumstances, Ruth remained loyal and faithful. God blessed her with a new family and a place in the lineage of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father,
We humbly come before You, seeking Your boundless mercy and grace to pour upon all those who are suffering.
As a loving and compassionate God, we know that You deeply care for Your children and their pain and sorrow.
We implore You to reveal Your comfort and peace to those who are hurting, guiding them to find hope and strength in You, according to Your perfect will.
